Allen A. Hodges has been named assistant executive director of the American Institute of Planners. He will work with John E. Hirten, recently named executive director of the 12,000-member association of urban and regional planners. Hodges was formerly on the legislative staff of the Mortgage Bankers Association.
Henry E. Bowden has joined the John Akridge Co., which develops downtown office buildings, as vice president.
James F. Walker Jr. has been elected senior vice president of Wolfe, Matan & Sheehan Realty, Inc. Marge Lovenberg was named corporate secreary of the nine-office firm.
Peter Calomiris, executive vice president of the William Calomiris Investment Corp., has been elected a director of McLachlen National Bank.
Edward Joseph has been named manager of the McLean office of Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc., and Alan Fry has beeb named director of the firm's condominium and property management division.
Frank M. Doyle and Henry E. Nichols have been inducted into Omega Tau Rho, an honorary fraternity of "old-time realtors" in the National Association of Realtors. Both Doyle and Nichols are past recipients of Realtor of the Year awards from the Washington Board of Realtors.
John H. Filbert III has formed his own real estate firm in Ocean CIity, Md. Filbert also is a present of the January Corp., a building and development firm in Ocean City since 1969.
