The Fort Lincoln new town in Northeast Washington will mark its first anniversary today with the dedication of its "Heroes Plaza" and a salute to Civil War soldiers as well as area police officers and fire fighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The ceremony will begin at 11:30.Civil War weaponry will be displayed. The development is at Bladensburg Road and South Dakota Avenue NE.
A house at 9515 Linden Ave., Bethesda, that was built by Montgomery County high school students has been sold by Jack Foley Realty to Mr. and Mrs. Mande Sidibe for the asking price, $106,500.Vocational students from 12 schools built the house.
An "energy-efficient" house with special energy-saving features will be open to the public today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Brent Turf Acres development near Manassas. The MKT Corp. built it in conjunction with the National Applied Science Development Center, a private organization. Follow MKT Energy House signs south from Manassas on Route 28; turn left on Route 619 and follow signs to house.
The written examination in the District for real estate broker and sales agent licenses will be held starting at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 23 at the Quality Inn, 415 New Jersey Ave. NW.
