The American Institute of Architects has named Charles R. Ince Jr. as president of the AIA Research Corp., which conducts research on national issues involving the built environment. He succeeds John P. Eberhard, who resigned.

Dr. Robert C. Weaver, a former secretary of housing and urban development, will be the speaker Sept. 19 when the National Housing Conference holds a luncheon meeting at the International Inn. He now is a professor at Hunter College in New York City. His topic will be "rental housing-an endangered species."
