J. Loren Peck has been named vice president and regional manager of Routh Robbins Real Estate Corp., a subsidiary of Coldwell Banker. Peck, who joined the firm in 1975 as a sales associate, recently was manager of Robbins office near Andrews AFB.

Rep. Sam Gibbons(D-Fla.), a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, will be one of the speakers when the American Land Title Association holds its annual convention, beginning Sept. 24, in Boca Raton, Fla. Gibbons is a sponsor of the 1978 Revenue Act provision that would allow home sellers a one-time tax exclusion benefit on the first $100,000 in capital gains.

Robert E. Baker, a graduate of the U. of Virginia and a realtor since 1970, has been appointed president of Nelson Realty Inc. in Annandale. Baker said he plans to expand the 20-year-old firm that has offices in Arlington and Warrenton.
Robert E. and Barbara Shreffler and Gregory M. Smith of Red Carpet County Wide Realty Co. in Gaithesburg have been awarded a designation indicating they have have graduated from the Realtors Institute of Maryland after completing 90 hours of instruction. The Shrefflers own the County Wide firm and Smith is assistant office manager.
Grabriel Jolles has joined David Huff Associates Inc., Rockville, as vice president for commercial sales and investments. Jolles has 20 years of experience in various phases of real estate. The Huff firm, which began business earlier this year, serves residential and commercial clients.
