An eight-acre tract of undeveloped land bordered by Reservoir and Foxhall roads and MacArthur Boulevard NW has been sold for $4.8 million to three developers. George Bennett of H.G. Smithy Co., the broker for seller Waverly Taylor (a veteran realtor who owned the site for years), would not reveal the names of the developers, but he said that the land is zoned for detached houses, town houses and apartments. Other recent sales in the District: The former Stratford Hotel at 25 E St. NW to 25 E Street Associates for $735,000 . . . The Shapiro Inc. office building at 1413 K St. NW for $925,000 to Potomac Properties Inc . . . The Condominium of Sen. Herman E. Talmadge (D-Ga.) at 2801 New Mexico Ave. NW (The Colonnade) for $172,500 to Mr. and Mrs. Norris M. Ashe.
Ronald A. Glass, formerly with Housing Data Reports Inc., and builder Cecil Boyer are now partners in Housing Corp. of America, which is building five $130,000-range houses at Keene Mill Oaks in the Burke area.
Julien J. Studley Inc. reports that 1.6 million square feet of office space-755,000 square feet of it in Virginia-was leased here during the first four months of the year.
The median price of a new house may be $120,000 by 1986 if the present pace continues, says March Trimble, publish of Professional Builder magazine. Trimble notes that a new home bought in June will cost 15 to 20 percent more than it would have in January 1978. The national median now is about $60,000.
