James A. Harrison, who heads his own realty firm in Laurel, has been nominated president of the Maryland Association of Realtors. Harrison is a past president of the Prince George's Board of Realtors, and is currently first vice president of the Maryland association.
Goerge W. Patton has been named marketing director of the Reston Land Corp. He had been with Gulf Reston Inc. in several managerial positions.
James G. Banks, executive vice president of the Washington Board of Realtors, recently met in Chicago with a committee of the National Association of Realtors to discuss ways of involving more black realtors in the association's membership and activities.
Jeffrey C. Baird of Arlington has received a $1,000 grant from the Northern Virginia Board of Realtors to do a study on the effects of subsidized housing on suburban residential property values. Baird is a student at George Washington University.
Michael J. Glosserman, formerly an officer with James W. Rouse & Co. Inc., has joined JBG Associates, a real estate development and project management firm in downtown Washington.
