John Holloran scored a carrer high 32 points today to lead George Washington to a 80-75 see-saw victory over Duquesne in an Eastern Collegiate Basketball League game.

It was the fifth straight win for the Colonias, 8-4, and improved their ECBL Eastern Division record to 3-0. Duquesne is now 1-3 in the Western Division and 6-7 overall.

George Washington jumped out to a 10-0 lead that was increased to 34-20 with 6:40 left in the half. The Dukes rallied to 37-31, but Holloran, who had 19 points in the first half, scored seven straight and the Colonials led 46-36 at halftime. Duquesne had shot only 28 per cent.

Lonnie McClain scored 10 points in the first eight minutes of the second half as the Dukes rallied to 55-52. But George Washington scored 10 of the next 12 points.

McClain's 22-foot jumper with three minutes left cut the lead to four, but the Colonials went on a 6-2 spurt that put them ahead, 80-72.

Les Anderson had 13 points and 17 rebounds for GW, which had a 53-45 advantage on the boards. McClain and Norm Nixon led the Dukes with 17 points apiece.
