Georgetown heads a nine-game slate of area college basketball action tonight when the Hoyas host surprising St. Joseph's in an 8 p.m. game at the Hilltop. The game will be televised over WTTG-TV-5.
What is surprising about St. Joe's is its 9-7 record. The Hawks, member of Philadelphia's "Big Five," have recently fallen upon hard times and not much was expected of them this season.
Georgetown, on the other hand, was rated in the preseason as a top team on the East Coast. The Hoyas, however, have lacked a killer instinct.
