My picks for the final weekend of the NFL regular season:

Los Angeles (10-3) at Washington (8-5) - The Redskins are struggling for a wild-card berth. Billy Kilmer was inspirational last week and will try again. But the Rams' secondary has little to fear from the Washington running game. This will be a tight defensive battle with Los Angeles incentive - The Rams are already in the playoffs - a question mark. Los Angeles by 4 (down from 6).

Buffalo (3-10) at Miami (9-4) - Baltimore's shocking loss to Detroit gave Miami a life and Don Shula will make the most of it Miami by 14.

Minnesota (8-5) at Detroit (6-7) - Detroit defence can be stingy but its offensive line makes life miserable for the Lion quarterback. Minnesota by 6.

New Orleans (3-10) at Atlanta (6-7) - It was Tampa Bay's defense that did the Saints in, and defense is the name of the Falcons' game. Atlanta by 7.

St. Louis (7-6) at Tampa Bay (1-12) - The Buccancers are into their longest winning streak while the Cardinals never came off the floor after losing to Miami. St. Louis by 6.

Chicago (8-5) at N.Y. Giants (5-8) - The Giants will have trouble moving the ball against an improved, aggressive Bear defense. Chicago by 6.

N.Y. Jets (3-10) at Philadelphia (4-9) - An opportunity for two clubs that will be drafting early to see where help is most needed. Philadelphia by 3.

Denver (12-1) at Dallas (11-2) - Craig Morton's sore shoulder may wreck his homecoming, and if it doesn't defensive end Harves Martin will. Dallas by 3, (down from 4).

San Francisco (5-8) at Green Bay (3-10) - Have Jim Plunkett's shoulder problems disappeared? The Packers' secondary will provide a good test. Green Bay by 3.

Cincinnati (8-5) at Houston (7-6) - Bengals' fortunes riding on ken Anderson's arm. Cincinnati by 3.

New England (9-4) at Baltimore (9-4) - New England must stop Lydell Mitchell and put pressure on Bert Jones. Baltimore by 3.

Cleveland (6-7) at Seattle (4-9) - The Brownes lost coach Forrest Gregg and are somewhat disorganized. Seattle by 3.

Pittsburgh (8-5) at San Diego (7-6) - The Charger have desire and striking power San Diego by 3 (up from even).

Kansas City (2-11) at Oakland (10-3) - Raider finally have a chance to give time off to their walking wounded. Oakland by 13.
