Odell Leonard, cousin of Sugar Ray Leonard, will oppose undefeated Darrell White of Philadelphia tonight in the "Battle of the Cities" team competition at the D.C. Armory.

The bouts begin at 7:30 and the main event is expected to start at 9:45. There will be five bouts in the team competition and two others.

Besides middleweight Leonard, three other boxers on the card are from Palmer park, Md., the home of olmpic champion Sugar Ray leonard.

The "Battle of the Cities" bouts are for boxers who have had 10 or fewer professional bouts. Odell Leonard has a 9-1 record and White's 4-0.

The other bouts in the competiition pair lighweight Craig Steven (3-1) of Palmer Park against Ernie Gladney (3-3) of Philadelphia; welterweight Richie Jackson (3-1) of Palmer Park against Wilbert Johnson (4-0); light heavyweight Leonard Lanley (6-1) of Peppermil, MD., against Dwight Braxton (3-0) and heavyweight David Johnson (6-2) of Bowie agaianst Art Savage (3-2).

The winning team will share a $3,000 purse, the losing team $1,000. Two points will be scored for a clean knockout, 11/2 for a technical knockout, one for a decision and a half-point for a draw.
