Maryland's lacrosse team, ranked second in the nation, will put its undefeated record on the line when it meets fourth-ranked and unbeaten Navy at Byrd Stadium at 2:30 p.m.

The 54th meeting between the two schools (Maryland leads in the series, 30-22-1) will follow the annual Red and White Spring football game which will star at 11 a.m. at Byrd.

The Terrapins, 6-0, who just captured their third straight ACC lacrosse championship and sixth crown in seven years, have whipped the Midshipmen the last four times they've met. Maryland's 1975 victory, 20-13, yielded an NCAA title.

Navy, 7-0, is led by the attack trio of Brendan Schneck, Mike Buzzell and Mike Hannan, who have 68 of the team total of 115 goals.

Like Navy, Maryland has potent scoring. Sophomore all-America Bob Boneillo and juniors John Lamon and Terry Kimball, have scored 52 of Maryland's 116 goals. Kimball, with 25 goals, has moved nearer sixth place on the all-time Maryland list of one season scorers.

In addition to the Terp Blue-White game, Navy and Howard will hold their annual intrasquad games, both beginning at 2.
