Northern Virginia will be well represented in today's championship round of the 52nd annual Stotesburg Cup Regatta on the Schuylkill.

Williams High School of Alexandria, Va., advanced all five of its boy's crews. The varsity eight schocked Philadelphia city champion Father Judge with a 4:149 clocking over the 1,500-meter course on the relatively calm water. Holy Spirit, another power from Philadelphia and Washington Lee, of Arlington, Va., were third and fourth, respectively, less than a boat length behind the leader.

Williams recorded the day's fastest lightweight eight time with 4:269 in winning its heat. It qualified other crews for the finals with second-place finishes in the championship and junior fours with coxswain, and third eight events.

Fort Hunt of Alexandria, was the only other Northern Virginia winner. It won the junior eights and qualified shells in the championship and third eight events with runner-up finishes.

Stuart of Falls Church, Va., advanced its championship eight and second-place finishes. Washington-Lee qualified junior, lightweight and third eight crews, and Yorktown of Arlington, Va., advanced its championship four with coxswain.

The girls advanced directly to today's championship competition except for qualifications in the championships fours with coxswain which were run later yesterday.
