Tonight's 100-lap (52.7 miles) race for late model sportsman class stock cars at Beltsville Speedway is worth double points to top finishers. So is the 35-lap limited sportsman class feature. Street stock machines will have two 20-lap features over the paved oval.

A large contingent of Richmond drivers has entered because the Richmond track will be dark tonight. Time trials at 6 p.m. and racing begins at 8.

The demolition derby rained out last week will be banged out tomorrow night at Old Dominian Speedway in Manassas.

The Metropolitan Auto Racing Fan Club will be honored at Dorsey (Md.) Speedway tomorrow night. Clubs members will be admitted free. Dorsey is allowing 22 cars to start the late model feature, 19 in the figure eight main and 24 in the street stock final. The 13-event show begins at 7:30 p.m.

One of the season's longest races for midget open-wheeled cars is Sunday night at Grandview Speedway. Bechtelsville, Pa., near Pottstown. It is 60 laps (20 miles) over the high-banked dirt oval, starting at 7:30 p.m. The midgets race every week there, and the governing American Racing Drivers Club allows nonmembers to compete.

The Summernational drag racing meet at Madison Township (N.J.) Raceway near Englishtown has qualifying dashes tonight and tomorrow night, with the final eliminations in eight classes beginning at noon Sunday.
