Bobby Ballentine of Baltimore will try to lengthen his point leat at Beltsville Speedway tonight in the 35-lap feature for late model sportsman stock cars over the paved half-mile oval.

Ballentine was track champion 10 years ago in this division. He now leads defending titlist jack Bland of Riverdale, Md., 348-322, with Dick Boswell of Berwyn Heights, Md., third with 306.

Tonight's 10-race program includes events for mini-stock cars. Time trials are at 7, racing begins at 8.

Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas is dark tomorrow night because of the county fair. Racing resumes Aug. 26 with a 150-lap race for the late models. The season ends Sept. 9 with a demolition derby.

Will Dilks, who has been racing stock cars 23 years, is leading for his fourth late model title at Dorsey (Md.) Speedway. The Baltimore driver will be in action tomorrow night at 7:30 at the quarter-line dirt track. Figure eight and street stock cars also are scheduled.

Potomac Speedway in Budds Creek, Md., has 12 races for three classes of stock cars and a demolition derby tomorrow night beginning at 7. The drag races at adjoining Maryland International Raceway have elimination matches at 7:30 tomorrow night.
