Bold Brat pushed her yearly earnings past $120,000 by scoring a four-length victory over Dalton Road in the second half of the Mary Duvall Handicap at Bowie yesterday.
Silken Delight won the first half.
Jockey James Moseley, abroad Bold Brat, rated the 5-year-old mare before drawing away. Bold Brat is owned by Dr. Alvin I. Kay of Washington, who purchased her for $22,000 at the Saratoga yearling sales.

"I got away with a slow first quarter-mile and knew she'd be tough from there," Moseley said."She still had steam left when she hit the wire. I had my stick turned upwards from the eighth pole home. She could have slightly bettered the 1:24 for the seven-eighths."
Silken Delight split horses with a bold move around the stretch turn, then responded to the urging of jockey Vince Bracciale to draw out a a four-length triumph in 1.24 2/5. The three-year-old carried 112 pounds.
Trainer Henry Clark said Silken Delight is making a habit out of winning the Duvall. She was won four out of six runnings.
Both winners were solid favorites Silken Delight returned $4.60 and Bold Brat $3.40.
