Seventeen Washington area runners finished in the top 600 in the men's division of the Boston marathon Monday, led by Bruce Robinson of Silver Spring, Md., who finished 48th in 2:19.03.

Erika Wieman, 20, also of Silver Spring, was the only area runner among the top 100 women finishers, coming in 47th in 3:03,41. The entire list of women finishers will not be completed for several days.

Washington Redskin General Manager Bobby Beathard, competing in his second Boston marathon, ran a personal-best 2-48.33.
