Highweighted Jameela came from last place to win the $40,000-added Mary Duvall Handicap at Bowie yesterday. The 4-year-old daughter of Rambunctious was ridden by Bill Passmore and ran the seven furlongs in a brisk 1:24 1/5. Rajputana finished more than a length behind the winner and a length and a half before Grecian Victory.

Hill Billy Dancer and Grecian Victory fought for the early lead while Passmore allowed Jameela to lag for the first quarter-mile. Grecian Victory edged away to a clear lead at the head of the stretch buy Rajputana and Jameela were in high gear.

Jameela now has won six races this year and nearly $175,000. The bay shows 15 wins in her last two seasons of racing for owner Mrs. Richard W. Worthington of Churchville, Md.

The winner paid $3.40 to win. She carried 124 pounds.

The crowd of 10,332 wagered $1,335,405 on the 10-race card.

Spectacular Bid, walkover winner of the Woodward Stakes, is expected at Bowie today at 11 a.m. Bid, trained by Bud Delp, will be stabled there this fall. Bid had been at Delaware Park most of the summer.
