Thanksgiving action:

Chicago (4-8) at Detroit (7-5) -- The Bears are on the edge of elimination in one of the National Football League's most exciting, if weakest, divisional races. While I make the Lions three-point favorites, the feeling here is that the Bears, perhaps the finest 4-8 team within recent memory, will find a way to remain alive for yet another week. Look for Walter Payton to ouduel Billy Sims.

Seattle (4-8) at Dallas (9-3) -- The Cowboys were, indeed, fortunate to survive against the woeful Redskins, and need to win against the Seahawks to remain within hailing distance of the Eagles. The key to beating Seattle will reside in the ability of the Cowboy front four to pressure Jim Zorn into the passing mistakes that have made this one of his most inconsistent seasons. Dallas by 10.

Sunday: St. Louis one over N.Y. Giants, Atlanta 10 over Washington, Pittsburgh seven over Miami, Minnesota four over New Orleans, Green Bay four over Tampa Bay, Baltimore Buffalo even, Kansas City seven over Cincinnati, Los Angeles 11 over N.Y. Jets, New England seven over San Francisco, Houston four over Cleveland, San Diego three over Philadelphia. Monday: Oakland four over Denver.
