N.C. State's Ray Wojkovich singled home the winning run in the ninth inning today as the Wolfpack came from seven runs down to defeat visiting Maryland, 9-8.

Maryland had led, 8-7, going into the bottom of the ninth.

Tracy Black, who scored the winning run, tripled in one run in the ninth and had two home runs and four other RBI for State, which raised its record to 4-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and 15-4 overall. Maryland is 2-2 and 6-8.

Elsewhere: Virginia (6-9) took advantage of eight errors by Seton Hall (12-9) to win, 12-5, in Charlottesville . . . Catholic (5-5) and visiting Fordham (1-1) split a doubleheader, with the Cardinals winning the first game, 6-3, as Bob Ebner had a grand slam and losing the second, 11-0 . . . Freshman Sean O'Hare drove in six runs as host Virginia Commonwealth (4-8) beat George Mason (4-8), 17-7 . . . Julius Rawlings pitched a no-hitter in the second game as Norfolk State (7-2) swept UDC (0-6), 12-1 and 20-0 . . . Prince George's had 20 hits in beating visiting Howard CC, 23-3.
