Larry Lamonde pitched a five-hitter for his first complete-game victory and Jim Felt drove in two runs with a triple and a single to lead the Alexandria Dukes to a 6-1 victory over the Hagerstown Suns last night at Four Mile Run Park.

Lamonde (7-1) struck out seven and was aided by some sterling defensive play. The Dukes made two double plays and Felt turned a potential triple into a sacrifice fly with a fine running catch of Larry Sheets' line drive to right center.

Felt also caught Pat Dumouchelle napping after the Suns' third baseman had singled in the sixth. Felt slipped before fielding the hit but then threw behind Dumouchelle to first base and Nick Castaneda applied the tag.

Alexandria took a 1-0 lead in the first when Marvin Clack walked, went to second on a wild pitch and scored on Rick Renteria's single to right. The Suns tied it in the fourth on Sheets' sacrifice fly.

Felt drove in the winning run with a triple to left-center in the fourth, scoring Castaneda. Suns starter and loser Jeff Summers (5-2) walked the next three hitters to force in Felt.

Alexandria scored three in the eighth on run-producing singles by Felt, Clack and a sacrifice fly by Joe Orsulak.
