The Pittsburgh Pirates, seeking a replacement for departed center fielder Omar Moreno, acquired veteran outfielder Lee Mazzilli from the New York Yankees in a trade for four minor-leaguers.

In New York, the Yankees announced the four players they had acquired were outfielder Don Aubin, right-handed pitcher Tim Burke, catcher John Holland and infielder Jose Rivera.

Mazzilli, 27, began his major-league career with the New York Mets in 1976, but lost his starting outfield job in spring training last season and was traded to the Texas Rangers. The Rangers traded him to the Yankees Aug. 8 for shortstop Bucky Dent . . .

Hall of Famer Johnny Mize, 69, was reported in good condition following a triple-bypass heart operation in Atlanta.

Mize, who had complained of chest pains for several weeks, underwent the five-hour operation Tuesday at Emory University Hospital . . .

New Orioles Manager Joe Altobelli, former Manager Earl Weaver and rookie-of-the-year Cal Ripken Jr. will be among honorees at the 30th annual Tops in Sports banquet that will be held at the Baltimore Civic Center, Friday, Jan. 14.

The guest list, which is expected to grow, includes Frank Robinson, Brooks Robinson, Greg Luzinski, Willie Stargell, Bill Dickey, Willie Mays, Al Kaline, Duke Snider, Bill Terry, Frank Howard, Jim Rice, Bobby Thomson, Harmon Killebrew and Ted Kluszewski.
