Utica at George Mason
Details: At George Mason Gymnasium, 7:30.
Records: Pioneers 4-10, Patriots 8-5.
Injuries: George Mason reserve forward Rob Nieberlein out with fractured left ankle.
Game Analysis: Utica Coach Larry Costello, who once coached the Milwaukee Bucks to the NBA title, is in his third year at the upstate New York college. A Division I school for only two years, Utica is in the midst of a southern road trip in which it is 1-4. The Pioneers do not have a starter bigger than 6-foot-5 or a scorer in double figures. Wallace Williams, a 5-9 guard, averages 9.1. Carlos Yates, the nation's fourth-leading scorer, has been carrying the Patriots with a 26.5 average. Holy Cross at G. Washington
Details: At Smith Center, 8
Records: Crusaders 8-4, Colonials 7-6.
Injuries: None reported.
Game Analysis: Before they leave for Washington, academic eligibility status of Crusaders Champ Godbolt and James Carlton will be decided by an appeals board. Carlton is a reserve forward, but Godbolt, a 6-foot-4 junior guard, is the team's leading scorer at 18.3. His replacement would be sophomore Larry Westbrook (5.0). Both teams have 6-9 centers. Chris Logan of Holy Cross (11 points, 6.6 rebounds) will be matched with GW's Mike Brown (15.4 points, 9.9), last week's Atlantic Ten player-of-the-week. The Colonials are led in scoring by freshman Troy Webster (16.7). Other Game
