Darrell Browder made two free throws with four seconds to play as Texas Christian knocked No. 6 Arkansas out of the Southwest Conference tournament with a 61-59 victory in overtime last night in Dallas.

TCU will meet top-ranked Houston in Saturday's championship game. The Cougars, led by Michael Young with 18 points and Larry Micheaux with 15, defeated Southern Methodist, 75-59. Houston (26-2) has won 21 straight.

The Horned Frogs, who had lost to Arkansas 25 times over the past 11 years, came from 11 points down to tie the game in regulation at 52.

Doug Arnold scored TCU's last 10 points. Arkansas' Ricky Norton and Darrell Walker missed difficult shots at the buzzer.

Browder, who scored 22 points, made a basket and four free throws in the overtime. He was fouled by Walker with four seconds to play, and the SWC's best free-throw shooter made both shots.

For TCU (21-9), it will be the first appearance in the final.

"Truthfully, I thought it was all over when they were up by seven with two minutes left," said TCU Coach Jim Killingsworth. Said Houston Coach Guy Lewis: "I'm shocked like everyone else."
