In Toronto, Larry Parrish drove in three runs with a two-run homer and a double and Jim Sundberg added a two-run homer to lead Texas to the win.

Parrish, who has hit four homers and driven in 10 runs in his last six games, extended his hitting streak to seven games by stroking a first-inning double that scored Billy Sample. The Rangers extended their lead to 3-0 in the fourth when George Wright singled and Sundberg drove a 2-2 pitch over the left field wall off loser Jim Gott (0-2).
The Rangers made it 5-0 in the sixth when Buddy Bell tripled and Parrish belted his fifth homer.
Texas added a run in the eighth when Dave Hostetler walked and scored as Wright's single skipped under the glove of Barry Bonnell for a two-base error.
Toronto scored two runs in the eighth on Jesse Barfield's sixth home run.
The Rangers got their final run in the ninth when Pete O'Brien hit a bases-empty homer.
