Perfect Beauty is no longer perfect. The 3-year-old trotting filly who was undefeated in 14 career starts, suffered her first lost as O K Dick came from behind to win the $7,500 Capitol Hill Trot Elimination at Rosecroft last night.

Perfect Beauty started out strongly for the lead out of the No. 8 post. Driven by Ross Hayter, Perfect Beauty passed the quarter in 28 3/5 seconds, the fastest in her career. However, she faded just past the half-mile mark as Arin Baritono and Spirits Supreme easily passed her.

Racing along the rail most of the mile, O K Dick, with Terry Holton driving, tipped to the outside going into the stretch turn and pulled away from the field to win by 3 3/4 lengths. The time of 2:00 4/5 was a track record for an aged trotting stallion. Perfect Beauty faded to finish last in the 10-horse field. Spirits Supreme hung on for second and Merrill Hanover was third. O K Dick returned $57.40 to win and the 9-5-3 triple returned $4,591.80.

The top eight finishers in the race return for the Capitol Hill Trot final on May 28.
