Joe Daniels of Suitland High School won three events, but Largo won the boys division in the Maryland Region II AA Track and Field Championships at Friendly yesterday.
Suitland's girls totaled 127 points to beat Largo (103) and Crossland (100).
The top four competitors in each event will represent Region II in next Saturday's state championship meet at Annapolis High.
The Largo boys got 122 points to Suitland's 120. Oxon Hill was third with 64.
Daniels won the 1600 (4:26.0), 3200 (9:40.0) and 800 (1:56.0). Largo's leaders were Willie Goodwin, who won the 200 (21.8), Robert Lindo, winner in the discus (141 feet, 7 inches) and Doug Dickerson (49.1) in the 400.
Junior Lorain Pierre of the Suitland girls set a meet record in the 300 hurdles (44.8).
Suitland's Farris Gilliam won the triple jump (34 feet 8 1/4 inches) and the 400 relay team of Pierre, Lisa Wilbon, Pat Mobley and Angie Terrell set a meet record of 48.0.
Two other girls meet records were set: Gayle Gleaves of Oxon Hill put the shot 42 feet one inch, and Becky Nathan of Crossland ran 2:16.2 in the 800.
