Eliot Teltscher, still recovering from a back injury, also advanced to the semifinals and will face Lendl today. Teltscher, the No. 4 seed, beat Brad Drewett, 6-3, 6-0, in less than an hour.

Ben Testerman also moved up, defeating Mike DePalmer, 6-3, 6-2. Testerman will play the winner of last night's late match between second-seeded Anders Jarryd and Vijay Amritraj . . .

Unseeded Camille Benjamin won a first-set tie breaker and then earned a surprise victory by default over top-seeded Hana Mandlikova in the quarterfinals of the $150,000 Florida Federal Women's Open at Innisbrook in Tarpon Springs. Mandlikova said she has had the flu all week. Earlier, Pam Casale beat Peanut Louie to gain a semifinal spot. In later quarterfinals, Carling Bassett ousted Gigi Fernandez, 6-1, 6-4, and Michelle Torres beat Bonnie Gadusek, 6-3, 6-4.
