Dallas quarterback Danny White didn't play much yesterday but that didn't keep him from speaking his mind about Washington fans.

"It's not so much that I don't like the Redskins," he said. "It's their fans. They're rude; they don't have a lot of class.

"There is no greater thrill in life than coming to D.C. and winning here at RFK. I'm very disappointed we missed out on the opportunity."

White has heard his share of boos at RFK Stadium. But, he was asked, aren't fans fans?

"Yes, but they don't use the vulgar language they call you here. Fans are fans . . . but I feel no human has to be vulgar anywhere.

"You would never hear fans in Texas Stadium saying some of the things you hear here."

White, who completed 13 of 20 passes for 125 yards in the fourth quarter in relief of Gary Hogeboom, said he could not count how many times the fans yelled obscenities at him.

"Every time I turn around someone is yelling something," he said. "It's a sign they don't like me when they do that . . . when they boo.

"I turn it into a compliment: Redskin fans don't like me."
