Tim Kerr scored four goals, three in the third period, to lead Philadelphia to a 7-2 victory over visiting St. Louis.

Dave Poulin lifted a cross-ice pass from Thomas Eriksson over Mike Liut's left pad from five feet out for the Flyers' first goal, 14 seconds into the first period.

Lindsay Carson made it 2-0 by getting a deflected puck from Poulin and shooting over Liut's glove into the upper right corner of the net at 3:10.

Kerr scored again after taking a pass from Peter Zezel and putting it in from the top of the right faceoff circle at 8:49.

St. Louis got the only goal of the second period when Doug Gilmour lifted a rebound of David Barr's shot over fallen goaltender Bob Froese on a power play at 5:06.

After the Flyers' Brian Propp made it 4-1 at 5:55 of the third period, Kerr scored three consecutive goals.

He got the first when he tipped a centering pass from Propp over Liut from 10 feet out at 12:22.

He scored again 23 seconds later, putting a pass from Derrick Smith over Liut's glove. Then he backhanded a shot betweem Liut's legs at 14:49 for his fourth goal of the night.

St. Louis made it 7-2 with three seconds left in the game when Bernie Federko lifted a shot over Froese from 10 feet out.
