Fifth-ranked Magruder and ninth-ranked Kennedy will attempt to give Montgomery County two Maryland state football titles today while top-ranked T.C. Williams goes after the Virginia AAA Northern Region title.

Williams (11-0), the highest scoring team in the metropolitan area, will play 16th-ranked South Lakes (9-2) for the region championship at W.T. Woodson at 1:30.

Kennedy (10-1), looking for a second state title, takes on 20th-ranked South River (9-2) for the Class A championship in the first of a doubleheader at Byrd Stadium at 11 a.m.

Magruder (11-0) will seek its eighth shutout when it meets Cambridge-South Dorchester (11-0) for the B championship at 2.

In other playoff games today, 10th-ranked Handley (11-0) will be host to James Madison (9-1-1) for the Virginia AA Region II title at 1:30.

Led by quarterback Glenn Williams, running backs Bren Lowery and Rodney McNeil and split end Shawn McNeil, Williams has won only one game by less than 20 points. The Titans have seven shutouts, including last week's 20-0 semifinal victory over Fort Hunt.

Trailing 14-0, South Lakes rallied to beat Stuart, 17-14, in its semifinal.
