The Washington Metropolitan Basketball Hall of Fame's fourth induction dinner is tonight at 8 at the Sheraton Washington Hotel. Honorees include Lefty Driesell, Bob Faris and Fred Hetzel.
Local senior college players due to receive awards are Patrick Ewing (Georgetown), Mike Brown (George Washington), Steve Nesmith (American), Adrian Branch (Maryland) and Carlos Yates (George Mason).

American University has had two National Invitation Tournament basketball teams in 12 years, in 1973 and 1982. Some of the players from both teams are returning for an "NIT II" game this Saturday at 3 p.m. on AU's upper tennis courts.
