Most of the crowd of 55,133 expected Rusty Hilger to start at quarterback for the Raiders, so when oft-maligned Marc Wilson ran onto the field for the first series, many booed. But Wilson passed for 241 yards and a touchdown today to help the Los Angeles Raiders beat the Kansas City Chiefs, 19-10.

Wilson sprained his right ankle in last week's game and Hilger had to finish for him. Today, Coach Tom Flores didn't announce his starting quarterback before the NFL game.

"The first time we ran out, I heard the boos," Wilson said. "I didn't pay any attention to them. You reach the point where you can't control what people say and what fans think. I decided all I could do was go out and play the best I can."

"We're back," Flores proclaimed after the victory left both teams with 3-2 records and enabled the Raiders to get even with the Chiefs for beating them, 36-20, Sept. 12.

The Chiefs moved from their 20-yard line to the Los Angeles 18 the first time they had the ball. They settled for Nick Lowery's 36-yard field goal. They had no more success until the fourth quarter. Los Angeles went ahead for good on Wilson's six-yard pass to Jim Smith with 10:26 left in the second quarter.4 Second Period
