Capitals have beaten Black Hawks four straight times, including a 4-2 decision in Chicago Oct. 27. Mike Gartner has 10 goals in first 12 games, Alan Haworth has six in last five. Riggin will be making first appearance since he was yanked in second period at Winnipeg Oct. 25.

Black Hawks will be playing third game of six-game road trip. They beat Minnesota and lost to Boston, both one-goal games. Warren Skorodenski was recalled after Sauve was injured Saturday, but Bannerman is expected to try to give Hawks first Capital Centre triumph since Dec. 19, 1981. Curt Fraser has at least one point in seven straight games, totaling six goals and eight assists. Linemate Troy Murray, who scored twice against Washington, has six goals and six assists in last seven games.
