Senior guard Nate McMillan scored a career-high 19 points to lead four players in double figures as 15th-ranked North Carolina State defeated Western Carolina, 80-57, in college basketball last night in Raleigh, N.C.

Freshman forward Chucky Brown had 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Wolfpack. Sophomore forward Leroy Gasque led the Catamounts with 19 points and 11 rebounds. It was the season opener for both teams.
