Cincinnati Reds -- Signed 22-year veteran 1B Tony Perez to a one-year contract. Oakland A's -- Signed DH Dave Kingman to a one-year contract.

Milwaukee Brewers -- Signed RHP Ray Burris, C Bill Schroeder, OF Paul Householder, P Mike Birkbeck, P Chris Bosio, P Mark Ciardi, P Tim Leary, 1B Billy Joe Robidoux and OF David Green to one-year contracts.

Green Bay Packers -- Told NT Terry Jones, 29, and RB Del Rodgers, 25, they will not be offered contracts for next season. Marcus Dupree, whose career with the U.S. Football League Portland Breakers ended with a knee injury last year, applied to the NFL for admission to its spring draft. Had he remained at the University of Oklahoma, the 6-foot-3, 233-pound running back would be a senior and eligible for the NFL draft. But an athlete who has left school must wait until five years from the time he entered college. Dupree is hoping the league will make an exception. BASKETBALL
