Records: Eagles 7-8; No. 16 Fighting Irish 10-2

TV: HTS; Radio: WVAU-610

Injuries: American forward Eric White (high blood pressure) questionable

Game Analysis: If the Eagles are without White, their leading rebounder, they could be outrebounded badly. The Fighting Irish average 11.8 more rebounds than their opponents, the second-greatest differential in the nation. Ken Barlow, a 6-foot-10, 225-pound forward, leads Notre Dame in that department with 5.6 rpg. Jim Dolan, a 6-8, 230-pound forward, and Tim Kempton, a 6-9, 245-pound center, average 5.4 rpg and 5.3, respectively. Offensively, the game will match two high-scoring guards: the Eagles' Frank Ross (22.6 ppg) and Notre Dame's David Rivers (18.1 ppg). Notre Dame has won nine of its last 10 and AU has lost three straight. The teams played once before in 1968-69 and Notre Dame won, 92-67. Wake Forest at Virginia

Records: Demon Deacons 6-11, 0-6 in the ACC; Cavaliers 12-4, 2-2

Radio: WPRW-1460, WQRA-94.3-FM

Injuries: Wake Forest guard Arthur Larkins (broken foot), forward Charlie Thomas (severely sprained right ankle) and 6-6 forward Drew Boggs (appendectomy) are out.

Game Analysis: In addition to Wake Forest being ravaged by injuries, 6-11 center Mike Scott left the team before its last game and 6-2 guard Kevin McMillan, a walk-on, left school in early December. Scott and Thomas were both starters, Larkins was the sixth man. First-year Coach Bob Staak has had to add two players to the roster to scrimmage. Five-three guard Tyrone (Muggsy) Bogues (10.8 ppg, 3.3 rpg) always is dangerous. Mark Cline (13.1 ppg, 4.9 rpg), a 6-7 junior, is Wake's leading scorer. The Cavaliers are healthy and coming off impressive conference victories over Clemson (83-81) and Maryland (70-49); they have won seven of their last eight. Virginia is balanced, with 6-11 center Olden Polynice (15.6 ppg, 8.7 rpg), 6-5 guard Mel Kennedy (11.4 ppg, 4.3 rpg) and 6-9 forward Tom Sheehey (10.9 ppg, 5.4 rpg). Others
