Nebraska -- Senior center Dave Hoppen will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee and probably will miss the rest of the basketball season. St. Joseph's -- Maurice Martin, a 6-foot-6 senior swingman, has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference player of the week. Martin averaged 20.3 points and 9.0 rebounds as the Hawks won twice in three games. HOCKEY

St. Louis Blues -- Traded forward Joe Mullen and defensemen Rik Wilson and Terry Johnson to the Calgary Flames for defenseman Charlie Bourgeois and left wingers Eddy Beers and Gino Cavallini. BASKETBALL

Milwaukee Bucks -- Signed forward-center Earl Jones for the balance of the season. Jones, a former Division II all-America at UDC, had been with the team on two 10-day contracts since Jan. 11. He replaces forward Jeff Lamp, who was waived. INDOOR SOCCER

Baltimore Blast -- Forward Stan Stamenkovic had three goals and two assists to lead the Blast to a 5-4 victory over the Chicago Sting in a Major Indoor Soccer League game in Baltimore. The Blast increased its lead in the Eastern Division to 1 1/2 games. Stamenkovic, 30, has 200 regular-season career goals and passed the 250-assist mark. MOTOR SPORTS

NHRA Winternationals -- Darrell Gwynn posted his first career victory, defeating Connie Kalitts in the Top Fuel category in Pomona, Calif. In the first round, Garlits had defeated Shirley Muldowney, who was returning to Top Fuel action for the first time since a serious 1984 accident in Montreal.
