John Lucas scored 19 of his 29 points in the second half and Akeem Olajuwon finished with 23 to rally the Rockets to a 104-102 victory over the Denver Nuggets last night in Houston.
As the game ended, Denver's Elston Turner missed a 12-foot jumper that would have tied it.
Houston is 25-1 at home this season.
Wayne Cooper led the Nuggets with 27 points. The NBA's top scorer, Alex English, was held to 14 points.
