American University won a coin flip yesterday with William and Mary for the sixth seed in the Colonial Athletic Association tournament. The Eagles (10-16, 3-11) will play third-place George Mason (16-10, 10-4) Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at George Mason's Patriot Center in a first-round game.

George Mason defeated American twice during the regular season, 80-64 and 63-59.

William and Mary will play conference runner-up Richmond (22-5, 12-2) Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Navy (24-4, 13-1), which beat Richmond last night for the regular-season title, will play host to James Madison (5-22, 3-11), also Saturday at 7:30. The other first-round game is fifth-place East Carolina (12-15, 6-8) at fourth-place UNC-Wilmington (15-12, 6-8) Saturday at 2 p.m.

The tournament semifinals will be Monday night at 7 and 9 and the final will be Tuesday at 8 p.m., all at Patriot Center.

In the first ECAC Division III South men's tournament, second-seeded Catholic (17-8) will play host to third-seeded Mary Washington (17-10) Thursday at 8 p.m. The winner will play at top-seeded Frostburg State (19-7) Saturday night at 8 in the tournament championship.
