The Washington Bullets signed Bill Blair as an assistant coach under newly hired Coach Kevin Loughery. Blair joins Fred Carter, who was an assistant to Gene Shue, who was fired Wednesday.
Blair had been a scout for the Indiana Pacers this season. He was Lougherty's aide with the Chicago Bulls 1983-85. Blair, 44, a native of Whitesburg, Ky., was an assistant to Larry Brown with the New Jersey Nets 1981-83.
