Reserve Ricky Pierce, shooting 14 of 18 from the field, scored 31 points as the Milwaukee Bucks won, 116-94, in Philadelphia and knocked two 76ers out of the game last night.
Philadelphia center Moses Malone was hit in the right eye with 8:19 left in the first quarter and was diagnosed as having a swollen retina. He will be out indefinitely. Forward Bob McAdoo's condition was called day-to-day after he injured his left knee with 6:24 left in the game.
Milwaukee, which led by 97-91 with 4:48 to play, outscored Philadelphia, 19-3, including nine by Pierce, toward the end of the game.
The 76ers' Julius Erving and Charles Barkley each scored 19.
*Hawks 100, Pacers 92: In Indianapolis, Dominique Wilkins scored 32 points and had 11 rebounds for Atlanta. Indiana lost its fifth straight. Vern Fleming's 22 led Indiana.
*Nets 118, Bulls 107: Mike Gminski scored 26 points, had 12 rebounds and blocked five shots to power New Jersey past Chicago in East Rutherford, N.J.
Orlando Woolridge scored 32 points for Chicago, which fell 2 1/2 games behind Cleveland for the eighth and final Eastern Conference playoff berth. As a reserve, Michael Jordan had 22 points and five steals.
*Clippers 107, Suns 96: Norm Nixon had 19 points and Marques Johnson 18 as Los Angeles won on the road for the first time in 10 games. Walter Davis led Phoenix (26 points).
*Pistons 116, Rockets 107: Bill Laimbeer scored 27 points and Kelly Tripucka 19 to lead Detroit to a home victory over Houston. Akeem Olajuwon's (26 points) two free throws with 1:45 left cut the lead to 109-104.
*Nuggets 128, Jazz 120: Calvin Natt and Alex English each scored 35 as Denver closed to 1 1/2 games behind Midwest Division-leader Houston. Adrian Dantley had 35 for visiting Utah.
