Atlanta's Bob Horner hit a two-run homer off reliever Ted Power in the 11th inning to lift the Atlanta Braves to a 4-3 victory over the Reds last night in Cincinnati. It was Cincinnati's ninth straight loss.

Dale Murphy started the inning with his third hit, a double off Power (0-3). Horner followed by lining a 2-1 pitch for his fourth homer of the season.

Paul Assenmacher pitched 1 2/3 innings for his first major league victory. Gene Garber got Ron Oester for the final out after Bo Diaz had reached him for an RBI single.

The loss was the 13th in 14 games for Cincinnati and 11th straight at home. The Reds (5-16) have the worst record in baseball.

Cincinnati tied the game in the ninth. Dave Concepcion led off with a double and took third on a wild pitch. Dave Parker walked to knock out Atlanta starter Zane Smith. Jeff Dedmon relieved and struck out Nick Esasky before rookie Tracy Jones singled home Parker.

*Expos 6, Phillies 4: In Philadelphia, Montreal pinch hitter Mike Fitzgerald broke a 4-4 tie with a squeeze bunt in the eighth inning that scored Tim Wallach.
