New Jersey Generals running back Herschel Walker said he may retire if the United States Football League is forced to disband.
The Dallas Cowboys hold Walker's NFL rights.
"I enjoy football, but I enjoy life, also," Walker told The Dallas Morning News from his parents' home in Georgia on Monday. "I just want everyone to know it's not 100 percent that I'm going to the Cowboys if the USFL folds.
"Right now, I'd say it's 50-50," he said. "I'm not sure what I'm going to do" . . .
Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Keith Millard has been charged with disorderly conduct and making terroristic threats after an alleged tirade against police at a hotel, authorities in Bloomington, Minn., said.
The incident occurred just before dawn Sunday when police Sgt. Scott Reinhardt responded to a call of a domestic dispute at the Radisson South Hotel, according to a report. Millard, who is 6 feet 6 and 260 pounds, began yelling obscenities when Reinhardt knocked on the door, the report said.
Millard pushed Reinhardt into the hallway while being evicted from the hotel and shouted more obscenities, according to the report. He was then handcuffed and booked before being released on $1,000 bond, pending an Aug. 15 court appearance.
