Lorne Prince caught a three-yard touchdown pass from Carlos Diaz in the corner of the end zone to give Wilson a 22-14 overtime victory over Poolesville yesterday at Wilson.

Poolesville had tied the game at 14 on quarterback Sean Burke's one-yard run on fourth and one with less than a minute left in regulation.

Poolesville won the overtime toss and elected to start on defense. After two running plays moved Wilson from the 10 to the 3, Diaz dropped back and found Prince for the touchdown.

Poolesville, on its possession, faced a fourth and 13 for a score. Burke passed to Chester Harper, who was tackled immediately at the 5 to end the game.

Poolesville had taken a 7-0 first-quarter lead, driving 50 yards in six plays highlighted by a 42-yard catch by tight end John Griffith. Burke scored on a one-yard run.

With Poolesville driving early in the fourth period, Wilson linebacker Alphonso Tyler intercepted Burke's pass and went 46 yards to tie the score at 7.

Two possessions later, Wilson cornerback James Booker intercepted a pass and returned it to the Poolesville 39. Three plays after that, Victor Jones scored on a 24-yard run to give the Tigers a 14-7 lead with 4:21 left. Poolesville (1-3) 7 0 0 7 0 14 Wilson (2-1) 0 0 0 14 8 22
