BALTIMORE, OCT. 2 -- Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson Jr. is scheduled to send two of his best runners here Saturday: Spectacular Bev and Doubles Partner.

The entry of 3-year-old fillies, from Wilson's Oxford Stable, is an early 7-to-5 favorite in the $50,000-added Martha Washington Handicap, a 1 1/16-mile turf race at Pimlico. Racing secretary Larry Abbundi assigned Spectacular Bev the 120-pound top weight among 13 entries; Doubles Partner will carry 119.

Spectacular Bev, a stretch-running daughter of Spectacular Bid, has won one stakes this year, a division of Pimlico's Summer Guest in July. Fortunate Facts, trained at Laurel by Jim Murphy, won the other half of the Summer Guest and was assigned 114 pounds for the Martha Washington.

Bill Hirsch Jr., who trains the favored entry, said Doubles Partner was definite for Saturday's stakes. The daughter of Damascus has won two of three starts on grass, taking the Pearl Necklace at Laurel and the Sweet Tooth at Belmont.

Trainer King Leatherbury has a chance for his third consecutive weekend stakes victory. Leatherbury, who sent out two winners on Maryland Million Day and Pretty Tricky in last Sunday's Straight Deal Handicap, has Too Smart Too Late entered in her first turf race after nine tries on dirt. In her last start, the Omni International Maryland Oaks, Too Smart Too Late was pinched badly leaving the gate.
