Lydell Scott rushed for 203 yards and four touchdowns as top-ranked T.C. Williams defeated Lake Braddock, 35-14, in a Virginia AAA Nothern District opener for both teams yesterday at T.C. Williams.

Scott's three touchdowns in a seven-minute span of the second quarter allowed the Titans (5-0) to coast to their 23rd consecutive Northern District victory. T.C. Williams has not lost a district game (24-0-2) since Glenn Furman became head coach six years ago.

But while one streak continued, another one came to an end with 5:45 left in the game. Lake Braddock's Mark Detrio recovered his own fumble and scored from the 8-yard line, the first points against the Williams defense this season. Detrio had caught Todd Burnett's 24-yard pass but lost the ball after a hard hit from safety Eric Anderson. Lake Braddock (2-3) 0
