Darrell Hewlett rushed for 153 yards and scored three touchdowns and Henderson Mosley threw for three more scores to lead 14th-ranked H.D. Woodson to a 50-7 victory over host Ballou in an Interhigh East Division game yesterday.

The Warriors, 3-0 in the league and 5-1 overall, forced six turnovers. The first of two interceptions by cornerback Damien Russell set up Woodson's first score, giving the Warriors a first down at the Ballou 25. Hewlett carried on four of the next five plays, scoring from three yards for a 6-0 lead.

Ballou (3-4, 1-2) answered quickly as Tre Everett returned the kickoff to midfield. Five plays later, quarterback Jason Lane threw over the middle to Everett, who eluded two defenders for a 33-yard touchdown and a 7-6 lead.

Woodson, which has defeated Ballou each of the past five meetings, drove 77 yards on six plays, capped by a 32-yard touchdown catch by Jeffrey Taylor.

Late in the second quarter, H.D. Woodson safety Anthony Ford intercepted Lane's pass and returned it to the Ballou 46. Lane suffered a sprained knee on the play and did not return. Five plays later, Mosley hooked up with Rodney Hounshell (six catches, 101 yards, two touchdowns) on a 16-yard scoring pass in the corner of the end zone for a 21-7 halftime lead.

The Warriors wasted no time picking up where they left off, taking the second-half kickoff and driving 60 yards on five plays. Hewlett gained 45 yards, finishing the drive with a 10-yard touchdown run.
