LYNDHURST, N.J., OCT. 23 -- Gallaudet's harassing defense had six sacks and two interceptions while holding St. Peter's to 130 yards total offense and the Bison took advantage of excellent field position to earn a 28-0 victory tonight at Breslin Stadium.

Bison tackle Todd Kimmes led the defense with six tackles and two sacks. Offensively, Gallaudet (6-1) was led by Karl White (93 yards, 16 carries, two touchdowns) and Darnell Woods (four receptions for 51 yards). Quarterback Jimmy Segala connected on nine of 19 pases for 121 yards and one touchdown.

Gallaudet took a 7-0 lead in the second quarter when White capped a 53-yard, seven-play drive with a three-yard run.

Free safety Chris Von Garrel set up the second Bison score by intercepting a St. Peter's pass at midfield and returning it 19 yards to the Peacock 31. Three plays later, Segala hit halfback Donnell Newman with a screen pass that turned into a 23-yard touchdown.

Gallaudet benefitted from a 34-yard punt that gave the Bison possession on the St. Peter's 36 in the third period. Russell Swanson's two-yard run gave Gallaudet a 21-0 lead.

Cornerback Jonas Fenicle returned an interception 17 yards to the Peacock 35. Two plays later, White scrambled 33 yards for his 12th touchdown of the season.
