Halfback Dean Lowery scored three second-half touchdowns to lead Georgetown to a 30-20 football victory over Johns Hopkins yesterday in Baltimore.

Lowery's scoring runs of 15, one and 44 yards brought the Hoyas (3-2-1) back from a 13-9 halftime deficit for their third victory.

Johns Hopkins (3-4) took a 10-0 first-quarter lead, but Georgetown converted three fumbles into field goals by Tom Timperman.

Virginia St. 47, UDC 0:

Dan Boynton rushed 13 times for 125 yards and one touchdown as the Trojans (5-2-1) gained a nonconference victory in Ettrick, Va., over the winless University of the District of Columbia.

The Firebirds (0-7) were led by Tony Mack, who gained 66 yards on eight carries.

Bowie St. 17, St. Paul's 14:

David Hall kicked a 23-yard field goal with 8:35 remaining to help Bowie State win a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association game in Lawrenceville, Va.

Bowie, which ended a 32-game losing streak earlier in the season, scored its first league victory since 1983. Bowie (3-4-1, 1-3-1 in league) had trailed by 14-7 after St. Paul's James Harrison ran for his second touchdown of the game.

St. Paul's is 0-8, 0-5.

Ursinus 27, Catholic 7:

Cliff Repetti passed for two touchdowns and ran for another to lead the host school in Collegeville, Pa. Repetti completed seven of 16 passes for 164 yards.

Ursinus improved to 3-3; Catholic is 2-5.

Delaware St. 40, Towson St. 17:

Senior running back Terrance Hoover rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns to lead an offense that ran past the Tigers.

Delaware State, ranked 13th in Division I-AA, is 5-1. Towson (3-3) had won three straight.

Mont.-Rockville 27, Westchester 12:

The Knights (5-1), on the road, scored 10 points in the first seven minutes and never trailed. The Vikings are 3-4.

Dayton 49, Frostburg 0:

Tailback Dave Jones rushed for 154 yards and four touchdowns as the Flyers, ranked No. 8 in Division III, won in Frostburg, Md.
