Lydell Scott rushed for 132 yards and scored four touchdowns yesterday as T.C. Williams defeated Robinson, 27-7, in a Virginia AAA Northern Region Division 6 semifinal at T.C. Williams.

The top-ranked Titans improved to 11-0 and will meet Annandale for the Northern Region title Saturday at W.T. Woodson at 1:30 p.m. Robinson finished its season 7-4.

It didn't take the Titans long to get Robinson in trouble. T.C. Williams forced a punt and it went just 14 yards into a stiff wind and the Titans had possession at the Robinson 49.

One play and a penalty later, Scott went off right guard, bounced off two tacklers and broke back to the left sideline and scored on the 51-yard run.

After forcing another punt, the Titans moved 58 yards for Scott's second touchdown, a nine-yard burst up the middle with 31 seconds left in the first quarter.

Early in the second quarter, Keith Burns intercepted a Brent Torgeson pass and the Titans had the ball at the Robinson 6. One play later, Scott scored from the 2 for a 20-0 lead, which T.C. Williams took to halftime.

"We felt like it was over at halftime and we thought they did, also," said Titans Coach Glenn Furman. "And our drive to open the second half was just the icing."

Erik Anderson nearly broke the second-half kickoff, with only an ankle tackle stopping him at the Titans 36. The Titans then erased any doubt about the outcome by driving 64 yards in 14 plays into the wind, using nearly seven minutes. Scott, the area offensive player of the year, finished the drive with his 23rd touchdown of the year for a 27-0 edge.

As usual, the Titans' defense was stingy. It limited Robinson's 1,000-yard rusher Mike Johnson to just 59 yards on 22 carries. Robinson (7-4) 0 0 0 7 7 T.C. Williams (11-0) 14 6 7 0 27
